The Divjaka-Karavasta National Park gathers around 50 thousand birds among the beautiful natural monuments that are located within it. A glimpse into the natural habitat and behavior of these birds is truly a rare pleasure. The area is inhabited by about 230 different species of birds. The most popular among them is the Dalmatian pelican , a very rare and beautiful bird. The population of the Karavasta Lagoon is about 5% of the entire world population of this species. If you are in the immediate vicinity of the lagoon, do not miss these majestic creatures. The famous Dalmatian pelican is also one of the most beautiful sights in the lagoon! Often the lagoon is overtaken by a massive flock of white and gray birds. Their reflection is beautifully reflected in the water as they fly above its surface! In order to preserve these birds, hunting in the park is strictly prohibited. The entire area includes the luxurious pine forest of Divjaka, the island of Kular, the dunes of the Divjaka oasis, the island of Pelicans, the coastal cordon of the lagoon and the famous four-century-old pine tree.
