A walking tour of Vlore , revealing the rich and little-known history of one of the oldest cities in Albania – Aulon.

We start from the AlbaniAll office, visit the Museum of Independence – a symbol of freedom and a new era for all Albanians. We walk along the central boulevard Ismail Chemali to the Old City.

From ancient Ottoman monuments to the tomb of Ismail Chemali, this route is filled with the spirit of the times, architectural gems and historical facts that will help you understand the city of Vlora and the Albanian struggle for independence.

During the walk you will get acquainted with the main attraction – the Muradiye Mosque , built in 1542 according to the design of the famous Ottoman architect Sinan, from the era of the great khan Suleiman the Magnificent. This monument, protected by the state, still reflects the architectural features of the 16th century and the special atmosphere of its time. It is located on the “Flag Square” – the heart of modern Vlora, where life is in full swing, festivals are held and locals gather.

The next point of the route is the tomb of Ismail Chemali , the founder of the independent Albanian state. His name is inscribed in every corner of Vlora: the boulevard, the university and the monument at the port. Together with the guide, you will learn why Chemali became a symbol of freedom, and who in his family continued the political and cultural mission – including his nephew, the educator Ekrem Bey. One of the streets of Istanbul in Turkey is named after him. His house, which survived in the city center, still preserves the spirit of the Albanian Renaissance.

The walk will end with a visit to the Old Town – this is not only a historical location, but also a place for pleasant, sincere conversations and summer cafes.

At the end, you can have a tasting of local rakia in a bar or have a snack in one of the local restaurants, visit souvenir and jewelry shops, and take a photo session as a keepsake.
